Brands Hatch-Indy
Suffering from a bad asthma attack the night before qualifying, I didn't feel the best and was only just declared fit to race. I could only manage to complete a few laps of the qualifying session and I had to pull into the pits. The team were really encouraging and helped me to put in a good lap time meaning I had qualified 2nd for Sunday's race, behind Craig Jones. We were both underneath the Junior Superstock lap record.
I felt better the morning of the race, which helped me to finish in a well deserved 2nd place. Craig Jones ran away with the lead again, and I kept my cool behind him taking home the Tech2 Suzuki two seconds ahead of the Australian Dave Johnson. |
