Brands Hatch (GP)
Another new circuit to me meant that I had to get my head down in the qualifying sessions. I did in the first qualifying session, putting the bike once again on the front row. Due to an unfortunate situation, Tom Sykes and I were unable to compete in our second qualifying session, because of this I ended up 8th on the grid for Sundays race. In morning warm up Tom and I went out to prove ourselves and both went well underneath the lap record and our times would have put us 1st and 2nd on the grid.
The race was as exciting as ever with Craig Jones and Tom Sykes battling all race and not far behind was Benjie Cockerill and I. As I hadn't ridden this circuit before a 4th place finish was really good. Tom Sykes took his first race win of the season ahead of Craig Jones. |
