Round 10

Cadwell Park

Cadwell Park is my favourite circuit and I was hoping to prove myself there because it is also the most difficult. I was please to get a perfect set up on my bike with our suspension technician Andy White from Kais. I was really confident about qualifying and managed to put the Tech2 Suzuki on pole position for the first time all season.

On the warm up lap of the race I found a fault with the front wheel, as there was no weights to balance the tyre. This caused the bike to be shaking throughout the race. I didn't get the best of starts and was wary of the front wheel for a while, but was just behind the leaders in 3rd place. Craig Jones and Tom Sykes collided and unfortunately Craig Jones came off. This left Tom and I to get the bikes home in 1st and 2nd positions. This was time the two Tech2 riders finished 1st and 2nd. It didn't end there! Craig Jones' team put in a protest straight away saying that Tom had knocked Craig off. I saw the incident from behind them and could see Craig Jones was in the wrong not Tom. Tom was already leading at the point Craig fell off. Tom was later disqualified which handed me my first win of the season.
