Cadwell Park
Cadwell is my favourite circuit so I was hoping to get another victory this weekend. After winning the last round at Oulton Park I was all fired up and ready for the race.
Qualifying was very close between Kieran Clarke and I, with one of us beating the other riders time every lap! Eventually I went on to take my fifth pole position by a mere 0.009 seconds!
I knew the start was going to be very important and I needed to get away in the top three. I went into the first corner in second place, close behind Kieran. Tommy Hill then passed me going into Park Corner. I sat in third for three laps watching Tommy and Kieran’s every move – knowing that they were riding on the edge. As I’d suspected they both made mistakes and I took the lead. Just as I took the lead the safety car came out onto the circuit for two laps. I ran a close and hard race from then on leading until the end.
I pleased with the weekend and happy to qualify pole and get another race win. The championship positions are close between the top five and the next two rounds will be really close.
